How long can you stay underwater with a waterproof to 3 mtr camera casing?

I have recently brought a camera that came with a casing that is 3 meters waterproof, I was wondering how long you can stay under before you must came up and dry it?How long can you stay underwater with a waterproof to 3 mtr camera casing?

But, the camera should enter the water gently. The 3m limit means it can withstand a certain level of pressure. If you jump into the water while holding the camera, just the force of hitting the surface of the water could be more pressure. So, in a pool, put the camera on the edge of the pool, jump in, then swim over and grab the camera. There isn't usually a time limit. The 3 meters means it cannot withstand the pressure of water from anything below 3 meters. Read the instruction manual, and if doesn't mention anything, it should be fine for however long you need it under there.
